THREE POWERFUL ENGINES
Jeep® Commander complements your demanding lifestyle with a choice of three powerful engines. The available (late availability) 3.0 Common-Rail Diesel (CRD) is strong, dependable and proven efficient (available on Commander and Limited). The 5.7 HEMI® V8 engine features a unique Multi-Displacement System (MDS) for a smooth, seamless transition between four and eight cylinders for efficient fuel economy (12 to 15 percent improvement depending upon driving conditions, available on Limited). And the 4.7 V8 engine has proven performance with 410 Nm of torque (available on Commander and Limited).
SIDE-CURTAIN AIR BAGS
Side-curtain air bags with roll detection system come standard on Commander. Side-curtain air bags are deployed in side-impact collisions and/or during vehicle rollover to help further protect occupants. *Always use seat belts. Children 12 and under should always be in a backseat correctly using an infant or child restraint system, or the seat belt positioned correctly for the child’s age and weight.
SOUND DAMPING
Environmentally friendly water-bourne sound-damping material was used throughout the entire vehicle to help make Commander’s interior quiet enough for a normal conversation with third-row passengers. Commander also makes extensive use of Quiet Steel® technology, a layered sandwich steel, composites and more steel to substantially reduce noise, vibration and ride harshness.
